FAQ
Will I meet you before you start?
Of course! Before taking on any new dog I'll come to your home for a free meet and greet. It's a chance for you and your dog to get to know me, and for me to find out everything about your dog and their little quirks that make them so special. I'll complete a new client form with you and you'll get to see my insurance details and qualifications. No pressure, no rush.
How do you arrange picking up and dropping off the dogs?
Your dog will be collected and dropped off in my fully kitted out and ventilated van. Once we're done I'll towel off the worst of the mud, top up their water bowl and leave them with a treat if that's something you allow. I'll be honest, they won't always come back spotless — we're in a field most days and some dogs are committed mud enthusiasts — but I'll always do my best!
Do I need to be home when you collect or drop off my dog?
No. Most of my clients across Clarkston, Newton Mearns and the surrounding areas give me a spare set of keys which I keep locked away with no personal information linking them to your address. Alternatively you can leave a key with a neighbour or in a safe place — whatever you're most comfortable with. Should keys ever be lost or stolen I'll inform you immediately and replacement keys and lock changes are covered by my insurance.
Where do you walk?
We use our private enclosed field out the back of Newton Mearns. It's a drive-in setup so we can open the van doors and release the hounds. The deer fencing runs under the ground too so even our best diggers can't make a break for it.
How can I keep track of how the walks are going?
Check in on our Facebook and Instagram pages where you'll find daily updates and pictures from our adventures. For anything more specific about how your dog got on, I'm always at the other end of the phone.
Do you walk dogs off the lead?
Yes, all dogs are walked off the lead. New dogs may be on and off the lead sporadically for the first walk or two while they get the hang of the group setup, but the majority are off from day one.
What areas do you cover?
Clarkston, Stamperland, Netherlee, Newton Mearns and the surrounding areas of East Renfrewshire.
What do you do in case of an emergency?
In the unlikely event your dog is injured or unwell I'll contact you immediately and get them straight to a vet. I'm trained in canine first aid and carry a kit with me at all times.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully insured. I'm happy to show you my policy documents during the meet and greet.
