What to Expect From a Walk With Indiana Bones

If you're thinking about booking a dog walker for the first time, or you're just curious about how we actually operate day to day, this one's for you. Here's exactly what a typical walk looks like from start to finish.
The collection
I'll collect your dog from your door in my fully ventilated and kitted out van. Most of my clients leave a key with me so they don't need to be home, but we can work out whatever access arrangement suits you best. The dogs tend to know the van at this point and most of them are pulling towards it before I've even knocked.
The walk
We head straight to our private enclosed field on farmland just outside Newton Mearns. Every dog is off the lead for the full hour and grouped with dogs that suit their temperament. It's the same familiar faces most days which means the dogs genuinely look forward to it. You can see the chaos on our Instagram and Facebook stories every day if you want proof.
The drop off
After the walk I'll bring your dog home, towel off the worst of the mud and top up their water bowl. I'll also feed them if that's part of your routine. Fair warning, they won't always come back immaculate. We're in a field most days and some dogs treat mud as a hobby. But I'll always do my best.
The meet and greet
Before any of the above happens I'll come to your home for a free meet and greet. It's a chance for you and your dog to get to know me, ask any questions and go through the details of what you need. No commitment required, just a conversation.
We cover Clarkston, Newton Mearns, Giffnock, Netherlee, Stamperland and the surrounding East Renfrewshire area. If you'd like to check availability or find out more, get in touch through the website or give me a call.
